A new petition calling for the Oxford Union to apologise for insulting the memory of the millions who were murdered in the Holocaust has drawn over 700 signatures in 4 days.
Thursday's demonstration will be addressed by Colette Levy - a victim of the Nazi occupation of France.
Far right gains in elections sound alarm for anti-fascists - Stand Up To Racism on March 19 then stop the EDL in High Wycombe in April
Far right groups campaigning against refugees and immigrants have seen a spike in support in recent elections. The AfD in Germany scored the best election results since any ar right organisation since WWII. While it was not able to take power in any of the 3 regional areas it did well in it did manage to score as high as 25%.
Nazi and far-right ultra nationalist and racist parties also took almost a fifth of the seats in Slovakia’s parliament after elections on Saturday 5 March.
There is a real danger these gains will pull mainstream politics further to the right and make it easier for fascist organisations to grow. The EU referendum vote is likely to see both camps attacking migration using racist language. Anti-racists will march in 17 countries on Saturday: Greece alone will see eight demos. Join us in London.

EDL not Welcome In High Wycombe on April 9
The fascist EDL are again targetting Buckinghamshire in their attempts to build up their local groups by inciting racist hate against local Muslim populations. As in the case of Oxford last year the EDL are seeking to demonise the whole Muslim community of High Wycombe as supporters of child exploitation and terrorism. It is despicable that the EDL continues to try to hijack the suffering of victims of abuse to incite racist hatred. Unite Against Fascism, in conjunction with local unions, has called a counter-protest to demonstrate that the majority of people in High Wycombe reject the EDL's racist lies.
Demonstrate - EDL not Welcome in High Wycombe

Keep the fascists out of Oxford University - sign the open letter
Fascists are trying to organise in Oxford University. Their facebook page "Oxford University White Student's Union" is filled with images and text designed to incite racist hatred, hatred against women, and people with disabilities. It denigrates anyone on the left, including student Labour activists and human and women's rights campaigners.
It is virulently anti-Semitic and denies the Holocaust, calling for a "lampshade party" with an image of Ann Frank's face on a lampshade on the head of someone dancing outside the gates of Aushwitz death camp.
It demonises Muslims as rapists and calls for volunteers to "drive rapists out of their communities" to rape female students, and blames white women for "migrant rape". It denigrates Black Oxford University Rhodes Must Fall campaigners "as low IQ chimps". It verbally and visually abuses people with disabilities.
Their page calls for active support for fascist demonstrations against refugees and supports violent confrontation with anti-fascists, and expresses solidarity with other fascist groups.

Oxford Mail undermining Oxford Uniting Against Fascism
There has been a consistent refusal by the Oxford Mail to reflect on and report the strength of opposition to fascism in Oxford. This has ranged from ignoring press releases to counter racist lies being put about by fascist organisations like the EDL, and now the National Front, to circulating unsubstantiated allegations by a local councillor against Unite Against Fascism while failing to criticise the EDL stirring up racism on our streets.
Our attempt to expose the National Front exploiting the suffering of Oxford victims of sexual abuse in an attempt to stir up racism against Muslim men last Saturday was ignored by the Mail.
Instead their report of the protest by Oxford people against fascists bussed in from around the country could have be written by the police press team. Unite Agaist Fascism's latest press release to the Mail has again been ignore and instead the Oxford Mail has outrageously printed a strange kind of pro-platform for Nazis letter
and they have again put address details of anti-fascists
The actions of the Oxford Mail only help to undermine future mobilisations against fascism. Oxford Unite Against Fascism thinks the Oxford Mail needs to have a good number of phone calls and emails registering our complaints
